• Woodhouse Business & Enterprise College (formally Woodhouse High School) was opened in 1971, by Margaret Thatcher, then the Secretary of Education. It was Tamworth’s first purpose-built mixed comprehensive high school. Since that time there have been many extensions and improvements. We now have extensive ICT.
  • Situated 1 mile to the east of Tamworth town centre, in the county of Staffordshire. With Warwickshire countryside to the east, and Staffordshire countryside to the north, Woodhouse is ideally located for students to explore and enjoy their surroundings.
  • Most of our students transfer here at age 12 from our main partner primary schools – Amington Heath, Florendine, Greenacres, The Woodlands and Glascote Heath – along with a smaller number from a range of other primary schools.
  • Many students continue their education in our Upper School until aged 18, the majority then moving on to universities.
  • At present there are some 120+ students in the Upper School from a total of 1150+ on roll.
  • Regularly each year we have news of the success of former students completing degree and job related courses.
  • The School is under the administrative authority of the Staffordshire County Council Education Committee.
